FAIL

Some of you regulars may remember this post..

Well. It's obvious. I have failed.

The flack jacket did it's job protecting the back and spinal column of mr bungee duck. However a key weakness was found.

So obvious now in hind sight. Now that there is nothing that I can do to help this poor thing.

It's just a shame. really.

Dead.

Inverted

Lucy and I got out for a front range ramble up Knoya yesterday. The temperature inversion was amazing. -1 at home, but high 20's in the mountains. The leather boots and thin layers got packed.

Up the dome,  ice fog and hoar frost giving way to Spring time.

The last time luz and I were up here was early October when we embarked on a  5 peak slay fest.
She was pretty excited to get back on the horse.

Up top - looking over to Tikishla.

Temperature were indeed tropical feeling - no gloves, base layer. Dead of winter? not here..

some nice boot skiing on wind hammer covered with powder..

Go up.. it's warmer.

daytime ride?

you must be joking! Winter riding when it's light out?
Yes it actually happened today. It helps that the days are getting longer.
Puurfect trail conditions on snowy single track. Temps in the low singles.
Shop  - tour trail - Speedway - Rovers - Tank- Moose Ridge -  Tour trail - back to sewing.
I had done a similar version twice in the past week, but it was dark and no camera. Nice to see it during the day.

Dual Larry's - Need I say more?  ok I will - they Rock!!

Happy New Year

Skied in to the Crescent Saddle Cabin to ring in 2010.
clear skies, full moon, good friends and assorted alaskana... Could not ask for more.

Joe and I got all geeky with time exposures and got some great results. These are 20 second exposures with the lx3 straight out of the camera:

Yesterday was clear and cold, we found some sweet terrain above the lake.

Happy New Year.
